What is Hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy combines Psychotherapy and Hypnosis. The Psychotherapy in itself is extremely beneficial and its effects are enhanced by the application of Hypnosis, which enables the subconscious mind to make beneficial changes.

Why to try Solution Focused Hypnotherapy :

People tend to believe that Hypnotherapy is something that is “done” to them, that they explain their issue to the therapist who then simply hypnotises their problem away, as if by magic. Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is a much more collaborative process and it is important to understand that change happens because you want it to and because you are prepared to take the necessary steps to allow it to happen.
For most people hypnotherapy will be something new and unknown; they will want to know a bit more about it before deciding whether to try it, so I offer the first meeting free of charge, and I can explain how I work.

Working with hypnosis is simply a variation of everyday experience. Disconnection is rather like daydreaming; it brings a feeling of time distortion that is a variation of “time flies when you are enjoying yourself”. My clients invariably walk out feeling lighter than when they walked in. It is a way to allow a mood of openness & curiosity about ourselves, and the world we find ourselves in. The focus in the therapy is on the client, and the resources each person brings with them.Hypnosis provides a unique opportunity to explore what we focus on, and how we focus on it. Focusing on the “good things” helps us to get into a more constructive frame of mind. These shifts come from the client’s discovery rather than the wisdom of the therapist, and so results are more achievable and lasting.
The relaxed hypnotic state allows the mind to drift. And arrive at new answers.
